Beginning his banking career in finance with Wells Fargo in 2002, Joe worked as a mortgage loan officer and became a partner of a mortgage company over the next 13 years. In 2006, Joe transitioned into retail banking, where he remained until joining the TheBANK of Edwardsville in 2015. He was named a Market All Star in 2014 and was a nominee for the Circle of Excellence award in 2012 and 2013.

As a prior business owner, I am able to relate to business owners and I can understand their needs. I believe that adds value to a conversation when the client feels that you have walked in their shoes before. I am always talking to my clients about their business needs – who are they looking to do business with? Can I help connect them to other businesses? I think it is very powerful when you can help your clients connect with other customers or resources that may result in new business for the client.
